Employ-Ability is the working name of Ideas Plus, a specialist employment support charity working with people experiencing mental ill health. Initially established in 1992 the charity changed its working name to Employ-Ability and increased staffing numbers in 2003. IPS is a model of supported employment which has developed to meet the needs of clients who have severe mental health conditions and are being supported by mental health services.
SOHAS has put together a training package for employers to help them use WRAPs in the workplace to manage employees with health conditions in work and on their return to work from a period of sickness absence. Managers who attended a recent training session, found it to be very useful and practical tool that was easy to implement.
